Structure
Lining fabric have different structures and are produced in different ways depending on the material type.
- Lining felt - a textile made in the process of felting
- Wadding – also known as batting („fluffy unwoven fabric”) is a fabric used mainly in upholstered furniture, placed directly under the upholstery material as a padding layer for upholstery furniture
- PP non-woven fabric – a polypropylene unwoven fabric produced in the Spunbond technology

- Wadding – high softness and fluffiness, resistance to deformation, low weight, low price
- PP non-woven fabric – high softness, low price, low weight, workability, air permeability, high durability, water vapour permeability, identical resistance in each direction, resistance to abrasion, high tenacity and high tensile strength
Used
Lining fabrics have different applications depending on the type of material.
- Lining felt – furniture and upholstery industries (as a stiffening and strengthening coat, as a protective layer placed directly on springs), automotive industry, as a protection for floors and parquets against scratching by furniture (chairs, tables, sofas)
- Wadding – furniture and upholstery industries (as a padding layer for upholstery furniture), bedclothes industry (for filling quilts, pillows)
- PP non-woven fabric - furniture and upholstery industries (as a padding layer between furniture filling and upholstery material as well as for quilting upholstery fabrics), agricultural industry (for production of healthy, ecological food)
